Two decades of Romanian foundry craft
PRODAL P2003 was founded in 2003 by Ion Pravat, a mechanical engineer with a lifelong passion for metal casting. From a single workshop in Slatina, the company has grown into a modern, integrated non-ferrous foundry serving customers across Romania and the European Union.
We are 100% privately Romanian-owned and remain family-managed. Our advantage is simple: we control the whole chain — from die design and manufacture, through high-pressure, gravity and sand casting, to CNC machining, finishing and final quality inspection. That means faster iteration, stricter quality and clearer accountability for every project.
Today PRODAL P2003 operates processes certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007. We cast light non-ferrous aluminium alloys for the electrotechnical industry, thermal installations, household appliances, the automotive sector and general industrial equipment.

A strategic location for aluminium
Slatina is the most important industrial centre for the aluminium industry in Eastern Europe. Our plant sits roughly 1.5 km from ALRO S.A., the largest primary-aluminium producer in Eastern Europe, 90 km from the Dacia-Renault plant in Pitești and 50 km from Ford in Craiova — short, reliable supply lines for both raw material and automotive customers.
2023 EU-funded modernization
In 2023 we completed an investment project worth €826,000 in non-reimbursable EU funds: two fully automated 400 tf die-casting cells, two 600 kg aluminium melting and holding furnaces, a spectral analysis unit (Al/Cu/Zn base), a conveyor shot-blasting installation, a 3.5 t forklift, a universal lathe and technical/economic software.
